Mount Pisgah State Park

Named for the Biblical mountain from which one might glimpse the future, Mt. Pisgah State Park lies just two miles north of Route 6 between Towanda and Troy in Bradford County. The 1,302-acre parks encompasses Stephen Foster Lake, named for the famous composer of the 1800's.

This lovely little park is filled with year 'round outdoor activities for everyone. Picnicking, hiking, a swimming pool (with handicapped facilities) and boating (non-powered only) are popular in summer. In winter visitors may ice fish, hunt and ice skate. State Game Lands

Bradford County is home to several sprawling tracts of State Game Lands including SGL #12 and #36 in the southern section of the county. Hunting, trapping, dog training, hiking and botanical studies may be done on all State Game Lands, however, certain restrictions apply.
